Lockheed Martin X-35B, dimostratore della versione STOVL del Joint Strike Fighter, esposto allo Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center di Washington nel dicembre 2003. L'X-35B è stato ottenuto convertendo l'X-35A, dimostratore della versione CTOL, che aveva volato per la prima volta il 24 ottobre 2000. Propulsi da un Pratt & Whitney F-119 da circa 165 kN di spinta, i due aerei hanno le stesse dimensioni principali: apertura alare m 10,67; lunghezza totale m 15,52; peso massimo al decollo (circa) kg 22.680; velocità massima livellata Mach 1.6.
