La società tedesca Cirrus Aviation ha comperato il suo secondo aereo d'affari leggero Bombardier Learjet 40. L'ordine giunge dopo soli tre mesi dall'arrivo del primo esemplare, per far fronte ad una sensibile ripresa dei voli d'affari in Europa. Dipinto in una aggressiva livrea nero/argento, il Learjet 40 della Cirrus è basato all'aeroporto di Zweibrucken, insieme agli altri aerei della compagnia. Entrambi i Learjet fanno parte della flotta Flexjet Europe, il sistema di noleggio promosso dalla Bombardier per incentivare l'utilizzo dei propri business jet.
Cirrus Aviation fa parte del Cirrus Group che comprende anche Cirrus Airlines/Team Lufthansa, Cirrus Flight Training e Cirrus Maintenance. Applicando le procedure di manutenzione della Cirrus Airlines/Team Lufthansa, i due Learjet 40 sono tenuti in efficienza ed operati con altissimi standard di sicurezza ed efficienza.
Certificato dalla European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) nel gennaio 2004, il Bombardier Learjet 40 - ultima evoluzione della dinastia Learjet - può volare fino ad una quota di 51.000 piedi (15.545 m). Con il pieno di carburante e sei passeggeri, esso ha una autonomia di 1.782 miglia nautiche (3.300 km). Il Learjet 40 è entrato in servizio nel gennaio di quest'anno e nove esemplari sono attualmente già in attività.

Cirrus Aviation of Zweibrucken, Germany, today purchased its second Bombardier Learjet 40 light business jet. The order comes only three months after the company began operating its first Learjet 40 aircraft, and will help Cirrus meet a growing demand for trans-European business travel. Sporting a distinctive black-and-silver livery, the Cirrus Learjet 40 fleet is based at Zweibrucken Airport, as part of Cirrus Aviation's growing charter services. Both aircraft are also part of Bombardier's popular Flexjet Europe charter network, which, as part of Bombardier Flexjet, offers seamless transportation service worldwide.
Cirrus Aviation is part of the Cirrus Group consisting of Cirrus Airlines/Team Lufthansa, Cirrus Flight Training and Cirrus Maintenance. By applying the maintenance procedures of Cirrus Airlines/Team Lufthansa, the two Learjet 40 are maintained and operated to the highest safety and service standards in the world.
Fully certificated by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in January 2004, the Bombardier Learjet 40 - the latest evolution of the Learjet dinasty - can operate at altitudes up to 51,000 feet (15,545 m). With full fuel and six passengers, it can fly 1,782 nautical miles (3,300 km). The Learjet 40 entered service in January 2004; a total of nine aircraft are currently in service.
