Il Comandante Quirino Bucci, collaudatore Alenia Aermacchi, si congratula con Jan Slangen, Comandante delle Frecce Tricolori, dopo il volo con il dimostratore avionico dell’M-345 HET. Venegono Superiore, 3 luglio 2014. Il Comandante della PAN Jan Slangen ha così commentato: "Si tratta di una macchina molto interessante, con un potenziale molto elevato, sia come addestratore basico che velivolo acrobatico. Siamo decollati dalla pista di Venegono per andare in zona operazioni e, dopo qualche manovra basica e acrobatica di orientamento, abbiamo provato a impostare un profilo di presentazione ridotto con una sequenza di manovre del nostro programma acrobatico. Personalmente sono molto soddisfatto del comportamento energetico del velivolo, della sua manovrabilità e dei consumi particolarmente contenuti. Ovviamente si tratta ancora di un dimostratore avionico, con alcune migliorie da apportare, di facile implementazione e già previste nello sviluppo finale del prototipo." In base all’identità militare CPX 619, il dimostratore avionico del M-345 HET (n/c 201 costruito nel 1994) fu inizialmente il prototipo dell’ S.211A, prodotto dall’allora Nuova SIAI Marchetti (Agusta), e successivamente il prototipo dell’Aermacchi M.311. A vari intervalli, oltre a cambiare costruttore e sigla, l’aereo è stato certificato civile, con marche I-PATS. (Alenia Aermacchi)

Venegono Superiore (Varese), Italy, 3 July 2014. Lt. Col Jan Slangen commented: "We are dealing with a very interesting machine, with a very high potential, both as basic trainer and as an aerobatic aircraft. We left Venegono header for the operation zone and, after some initial orientation basic and aerobatic manoeuvres, we tried to set a profile for a reduced presentation with a sequence of manoeuvres from our current aerobatic programme. Personally, I am very satisfied with the specific excess power of this aircraft, with its maneuverability and particularly with its restrained costs. Obviously, it is still only an avionic demonstrator, some improvements will be required, but their implementation will be relatively simple, as they all are already included in the final development phase of the prototype.” From its military serial number CPX 619, the M-345 HET avionic demonstrator (n/c 201 manufactured in 1994) was originally the prototype of the S.211A, built by the then Nuova SIAI Marchetti (Agusta), and later becoming the Aermacchi M.311 prototype.
