Con il ritiro, presso la linea di montaggio di Amburgo, del suo primo esemplare di A 321, il vettore a domanda svedese Novair è diventato l'ennesimo utilizzatore di questo tipo di aereo. La Novair riceverà complessivamente due A 321, entrambi in leasing da parte dell'americana ILFC. L'Airbus A 321, il più capace rappresentante della famiglia A 320, è l'aereo commeriale più economico della sua categoria, con il minore costo miglio-passeggero del segmento.
La consegna alla Novair rafforza il successo Airbus nel settore delle compagnie "low fares". Con quasi 400 esemplari di aerei della famiglia A 320 in servizio od in ordine da parte di operatori a basso costo europei, il marchio Airbus si è affermato come leader di quasto specifico mercato.
Gli A 321 del vettore svedese, spinti da turbofan V2500-A5, saranno utilizzati per voli charter dalle città scandinave verso le principali destinazioni turistiche del Mediterraneo. Dato che la Novair utilizza già due wide-body Airbus A 330-200, la compagnia trarrà ulteriori benefici dalla standardizzazione operativa offerta dai diversi modelli Airbus.

Boeing delivered a B.747-400 passenger jet and a B.747-400ER (Extended Range) cargo airplane to Air France on the same day, March 31, 2004. A same-day delivery of a B.747 passenger and a B.747 cargo jetliner to a single customer is a rare event. Air France, which took the first B.747-400ER Freighter produced by Boeing in 2002, already operates 37 B.747 airplane, 13 in cargo configuration and 24 for passenger transport.
The Swedish charter airline Novair became a new Airbus A 321 operator when it took delivery of its first aircraft from the manufacturer's assembly line in Hamburg. In total, Novair will receive two A 321s, both leased via the US-based ILFC. Airbus' A 321 is the largest A 320 Family member and the most economical aircraft in its class offering the lowest seat-mile-costs in this segment.
The delivery to Novair underlines Airbus success in the low fares market. With nearly 400 Airbus A 320 Family aircraft in operation and on order from European budget operators, Airbus is the clear market leader in this segment.
The carrier's A 321s will be powered by V2500-A5 engines from International Aero Engines. Novair will use the aircraft on its charter services from Scandinavian cities to holiday destinations around the Mediterranean. As Novair already operates two Airbus wide-body A 330-200s the carrier will benefit from Airbus' unique operational communality.
