Italian Air Force General Open Day 1998

On March 28th, in occasion of its 75th anniversary, the Italian Air Force opened to the public all of its air bases and airport facilities.
An Aeromedia photo-party was able to visit some Northern Italy Air Bases, where exhaustive aircraft displays were offered to the crowds, comprising foreign aircraft still based in Italy for the operations over Bosnia.

In the pictures: one of the early delivered F-104S ASA-M is 5-36 MM6880, based at Cervia; it was on display at Piacenza; Tornado ADV "trainer" 53-01 MM55060 is ZE208 leased from RAF, on static exhibition at Ghedi.
