Un turboelica PC-12 NG con una colorazione speciale - che comprende l’auto Sauber C31 che partecipa al campionato di Formula 1 - sarà utilizzato dalla scuderia elvetica Sauber, nella stagione 2012, per gli spostamenti del personale verso i vari circuiti atomobilistici europei.
Lo scorso fine settimana, questo decoratissimo PC-12 NG è decollato per la sua prima missione trasportando il “team manager” Peter Sauber ed otto tecnici verso la prima gara “europea” in Spagna. Il PC-12 NG è atterrato a Sabadell, una piccola pista da 1000 metri, ma vicinissima al circuito.
“Una delle migliori caratteristice del PC- 12 è la sua capacità di operare su piste relativamente corte.” ha dichiarato Peter Sauber “Questo ci permette di evitare gli aeroporti più grandi e trafficati. Noi possiamo ritornare all’aereo pochi minuti dopo la conclusione dei gran premi, e decollare senza perdite di tempo. Risparmiamo un bel po’ di tempo!”

Un turboelica PC-12 NG with special Formula 1 livery showing the Sauber C31 racing car, will fly the Sauber F1 Swiss Team direct to the racetracks of Europe in 2012.
The PC-12 NG took off on its first mission last weekend, flying the eight-man team, plus team manager Peter Sauber, to the first race in Spain. The PC-12 NG landed in Sabadell, a small aerodrome with a 1,000 m runway, just a few chilometres from the circuit.
“One of the best features of the PC- 12 is its ability to land on, and take off from, very short runways.” Peter Sauber said “It leaves us free to avoid the big, congested airports. We were back at the aircraft within a few minutes of the race finishing and airborne shortly afterwards. We really can save a lot of time.”
