La Pilatus Aircraft Ltd ha reso noto un accordo di collaborazione industriale con la società polacca PZL-Świdnik S.A. per il montaggio delle fusoliere e dei cassoni alari del PC-12. Dopo un’accurata analisi del mercato relativa a vari potenziali fornitori, la Pilatus è certa che la PZL-Świdnik si dimostrerà un valido partner sia per gli altri standard qualitativi che per la rilevante esperienza nel settore delle aerostrutture.
Ubicata a Świdnik, nella regione di Lublino a sud-est di Varsavia, la PZL-Świdnik è stata comperata dall’AgustaWestland nel 2009. Il contratto tra la Pilatus e la PZL-Świdnik ha una validità decennale e prevede la consegna delle prime parti strutturali complete di PC-12 nella seconda metà del 2011. La Pilatus continuerà a produrre direttamente, a Stans, una serie di particolari che saranno inviati in Polonia per l’attività di assemblaggio.
Il PC-12 ha permesso alla Pilatus di reggiungere il vertice tra i produttori di monomotori a turboelica. La società svizzera ha consegnato 100 PC-12 nel 2009. In vista di un eventuale aumento del ritmo di produzione del PC-12, la Pilatus ha deciso di servirsi di un secondo fornitore oltre all’OGMA – Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal – utilizza finora in esclusiva. La lunga e fruttuosa collaborazione con l’OGMA proseguirà alle attuali condizioni.

Pilatus Aircraft Ltd announced its partnership with PZL-Świdnik S.A. of Poland for the assembly of PC-12 fuselage and wing cells. Following in-depth and extremely detailed assessments of various suppliers, Pilatus is confident that PZL-Świdnik will prove to be a partner capable of meeting the highest standards of quality, and one with the requisite experience and certifications in the aviation industry.
Located in Świdnik, in the Lublin region to the South-East of Warsaw, PZL-Świdnik was acquired by AgustaWestland, the Italian helicopter company, in 2009. The contract between Pilatus and PZL-Świdnik has been signed for a ten year period, and provides for delivery of the first complete PC-12 structures during the second half of 2011. Pilatus will continue to produce “in-house” detail parts in Stans, and these will be sent to Poland for assembly work.
The PC-12 positions Pilatus as the market leader in the single-engine turboprop aircraft segment. The Swiss company delivered 100 PC-12 in 2009. With a view to safeguarding and further expanding PC-12 production rates in the future, Pilatus has been seeking another partner in addition to the existing relationship with OGMA – Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal. The long and excellent partnership of many years with OGMA will continue on its present basis.
