Avanti Air's Q400 arrives in Caselle with PSV-Eindhoven fans

On February 11, 2025, the football match between Juventus and PSV Eindhoven (score of 2-1) was held in Turin. It was included in the qualifying rounds of the 2024-2025 UEFA Champions League. The day before, the supporters of the Dutch team arrived in Turin on an Avanti Air's Bombardier Q400, an aircraft previously operated by Flybe, the British regional airline. With the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic affecting air travel, Flybe ceased operations on March 5, 2020 and entered administration. A new Flybe, launched in 2021, began services within the UK from their base at Birmingham Airport in early 2022 but ceased operations again on January 27, 2023.
From 2007 to 2009, Avanti Air's ATR 72s and ATR 42s operated regular flights from German airports to Turin on behalf of Lufthansa. In 2009, an Avanti Air ATR 72 also operated scheduled flights from Pescara marketed by the FlyOnAir agency. (Aeromedia)
