Regional Airlines Expands its Activity in Italy

With the 1996 summer season, the French third level carrier Regional Airlines added a second Italian destination, linking Clermont Ferrand to Turin two times a day from monday to friday.
Regional Airlines was formed from the merger of Air Vendée and Airlec in 1992 and Milan-Malpensa was included in the route structure since.
In 1995 the traffic between France and Italy grew to 20.000 passengers.
Regional Airlines has a fleet formed by one ATR 42-300, two Saab 2000, eight Saab 340B and nine "Jetstream" Super 31. Two more Saab 2000 and three new Embraer EMB-145 are on order.
The Turin flights are operated with the "Jetstream"; larger aircraft will be introduced if 10.000 passengers will be totalled during 1996.
