7th Aerobatic Team Pilots
Meeting at Rivolto

Over 150,000 people witnessed, on Sunday 3 September, the flight demonstrations by the aircraft and pilots which participated in the 7th Aerobatic Team Pilots Meeting held at the Rivolto Air Base (near Udine), home base for the Italian Air Force's national acrobatic team, the "Freccie Tricolori".
The participating national teams included:

The static portion of the meet was also quite interesting, being full of new and interesting displays. These included a MiG 29 fighter from the German Lufwaffe and a Pilatus PC9 trainer from the Croatian Air Force.
The flight demonstrations of the various aerobatic teams were interspersed with flying presentations of various military aircraft, such as the Alenia G222 tactical transport, the Tornado strike fighter, and the H500 helicopter from the Italian Air Force's Flight Testing Establishment, the new Agusta 129 Mangusta battlefield anti-tank helicopter from the Italian Army's AVES evaluation squadron based in nearby Casarsa della Delizia, the AMX tactical aircraft from the Italian Air Force's 2nd Air Wing, and a Belgian F-16 air superiority fighter.
Despite worsening weather conditions due to heavy thunderstorms, the Italian national aerobatic team was able to put on a fine flight demonstration, even if with a low-level program at the conclusion of the air meet.
