and 13th European Helicopter Association Symposium

The 22nd European Rotorcraft Forum (ERF) will be held in Brighton, UK from 16 to 19 September 1996, and is held in conjunction with the annual symposium of the European Helicopter Association (EHA).
The ERF will discuss advances in research, development, design, manufacturing, testing and operation of rotorcraft and it aims to foster the exchange of information between manufacturers, research establishments and operators.
This will be the 22nd such Forum since the event started in Southampton in 1975; it has subsequently been held annually in turn in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands and, since 1995, Russia.

Contributions are invited from authors to cover all aspects of rotorcraft technology.
The proposed sessions are as follows:

Abstracts for the ERF should be in English and between 500 and 1000 words long, with key figures and references to pertinent publications in existing literature.
Authors should identify in the abstract new or significant aspects of their work and state the session for which the abstract is intended.
The deadline date for receipt of abstracts is the 16th February 1996.

If an abstract is accepted the author will be sent instructions together with camera ready paper and will be asked to submit the paper by 19 July 1996.
The best paper by a European author will be selected as the Ian Cheeseman Award Paper for presentation at the 1997 AHS Forum, corresponding to the 1996 Lichten Award Paper which will be presented in Brighton.

Notification to authors: 8 April 1996
Programme and registration form available: June 1996
Submission of camera ready papers: 19 July 1996

The language of the Forum will be English. Simultaneous translation facilities will not be available.

The EHA will be organising their own programme which will take place on Thursday 19 September 1996.
