Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company è stata costituita nel 2000 quando Sukhoi ha deciso di diversificare il suo campo d’azione entrando nel settore dei velivoli commerciali. Così è stata concepita la famiglia di jet regionali Sukhoi Superjet 100, aerei in grado di soddisfare i più stringenti requisiti degli operatori internazionali.
Controllata da Sukhoi Holding Company e Sukhoi Design Bureau, SCAC è basata a Mosca; attualmente impiega oltre 1.500 unità ed è alla guida del programma Sukhoi Superjet 100.
Il “roll out” del Superjet 100 è previsto per il prossimo 26 settembre, il primo volo per fine 2007 e la consegna del primo esemplare nel novembre 2008. Ad oggi il Superjet 100 ha totalizzato 71 ordini (61 dall’Aeroflot e 10 dall’italiana ItAli).

Being a subsidiary of Sukhoi Holding Company and Sukhoi Design Bureau, SCAC is headquartered in Moscow. It currently employs over 1.500 people and leads the Sukhoi Superjet 100 Programme.
The roll out of the first flying Sukhoi Superjet 100 is planned for September 26, 2007, the first flight by the end of the year and the delivery of the aircraft is targeted for November 2008. Firm orders portfolio for the Superjet 100 totals to 71 aircraft (61 from Aeroflot and 10 from ItAly of Italy).
