TAT Bought by British Airways

The European Commission has authorized the complete take-over of the French airline TAT by British Airways that, in January 1993, took a first share of 49,9%.
TAT European Airlines is the largest French independent carrier, based at Tours, with a 60 aircraft strong short/medium range fleet.
Touraine Air Transport was created in 1968 as an air-taxi operator, later becoming an Air France third level consociate with the appropriate name change as Transport Aérien Transrégional till March 1992, when it was renamed TAT European Airlines.
