City of Turin Glider Trophy 2007
Organized by the local flying club, the Turin/Aeritalia airfield hosted recently the 35th City of Turin Trophy. The competition was organized in a Single Class with handicap system, to place all pilots at the same level, despite different types and performance of their sailplanes. The competition comprised three race sessions set up in the March 23 - April 1, 2007, period.
Thirty pilots applied for the event, coming from all over Italy, and one from France. Edoardo Tarchini, of Aero Club Novi Ligure, was the final winner, having scored two first place and a second place positions. The race days were characterized by unfavourable weather which caused uncomplete tracks or out-of-airfield landings.
Single Class (handicap) general results, including pilot name, glider type, registration marks, race number, parent club and total score.
