First Flight of the First C-27J for Morocco

On May 21, 2010, the first C-27J for the Royal Moroccan Air Force had its maiden test flight in Turin/Caselle airport, at the Alenia Aeronautica’s Flight Test Center.
In October, 2008, the Moroccan Defence Ministry placed an order for four Spartans, valued at 130 million Euro. At the moment, this is the latest order for the tactical transport aircraft designed and produced by Alenia Aeronautica.
Meanwhile, the Alenia Aeronautica-owned C-27J is also progressing with its experimental activity and participation in demonstration flights on behalf of prospective customers. Production of C-27J for the U.S. Armed Forces is well under way, while the fifth JCA series aircraft is already undergoing its flight test phase before delivery.
