We are approaching the centenary of the first commercial seaplane flights, using small flying boats, between Turin and Trieste is approaching. On February 24, 2026, as a spectacular preview, a Cessna 172M amphibious floatplane from the Aero Club Como passed through Turin/Aeritalia Airport. The aircraft had already been seen at Aeritalia on November 17, 2021, attracting the attention of all those present at the airport. Regarding the centenary of the first Italian scheduled flight, which will fall on April 1, Aeromedia has requested the City of Turin's support for the restoration of the commemorative monument located on the banks of the Po River, near the Isabella Bridge. This would be crucial to organizing a worthy commemorative ceremony with the participation of the city's aviation institutions and associations.
